Mweya Safari Lodge is located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda’s most popular tourist destinations. Mweya Safari Lodge offers a range of activities it runs water trips along the Kazinga Channel having the world’s largest population of hippos. The boat ride explores animals at the bank and those with in the water for example elephants, impala and buffaloes. The boat cruise along the channel takes three times a day and the lodge has three boats ( hippo, sunbird and king fisher) that accommodate different numbers bookings can be made directly at the lodge. It also introduced hot air balloon safaris in partnership with balloon tours Uganda, engages in game drives to the northern Kasenyi plains, experiential lion tracking, sundowner cocktail and cruise, Katwe exploring, bird watching.
The lodge has a gift shop for buying souvenirs, crafts, t-shirts and labelled caps for Mweya remembrance, alongside books, maps, jewellery. It has a business center where one can access internet services and printer, restaurants and the lounge area with large space, furnished leather chairs with a touristic catching and safari décor, very charming and lavish environment.
The lodge is placed to hill on the Mweya peninsular offering luxurious accommodation in the center of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The road to the park is overwhelming and completely blends with the natural environment enticing a feeling of old times where everything was perfect.
The lodge is approximately five and half hours’ drive from Kampala, and chatter flights can be organized in Entebbe or Kampala Kajansi taking about 1hour to reach the facility.
