Detailed Itinerary of the 1 Day Lake Mburo National Park Safari
You will be picked up at 6:00am form your hotel in Kampala or place of residence and you will embark on a 4 hour journey to Lake Mburo National Park in the South Western part of the country.
Make a brief stop-over en route at the Uganda Equator crossing which is about 77km from Kampala for coffee and photo shoots at the Equator where you get to stand in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres at the same time.
You will then proceed passing through verdant countryside landscapes and arrive in Lake Mburo National Park in the mid-morning. Upon arrival, you will embark on a wildlife game drive exploring the park’s savannah environment dotted with counts of wild game. Animals you are likely to encounter include; Rothschild Giraffes, Topis, Warthogs, Buffaloes, Elands, Waterbucks, Impala, Burchell’s Zebra among others.
Break off for lunch and take an afternoon boat cruise on the calm Lake Mburo as you marvel at the towering hills beyond on one side and the forested shoreline on one side. While on the boat cruise, you may encounter a range of Hippos, Nile Crocodiles and a variety of bird species including the African Fish Eagle.
Retreat from the activity and embark on the transfer journey back to Kampala arriving in the evening.
